Hosting Plan Terms
These terms set out what’s included in our Hosting Plan and how it works. They form part of our agreement with you when you sign up.
1. What’s Included
- Premium LiteSpeed server hosting
- 100% renewable energy hosting
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Daily off-site backups
- Monthly security review
- WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates
- Minor content changes (as defined in section 2)
2. Minor Content Changes
Minor content changes are small, ad-hoc edits that can typically be actioned in a short amount of time. Examples include:
- Swapping out an existing image
- Adding or updating a testimonial
- Editing opening hours, contact details, or other small text elements
- Small copy edits
Minor changes are included on an as-needed basis each month and do not accumulate, roll over, or bank up for future use. If no changes are requested in a given month, that does not entitle you to a larger allowance the following month, nor to a refund or credit.
3. What’s Not Included
The Hosting Plan covers hosting, maintenance, and the minor content changes described in section 2. No other work, changes, additions, or development is included unless explicitly listed in these terms or agreed in writing for your specific project.
The following sit outside the plan and will be scoped and quoted as separate work:
- New pages, sections, or templates
- Layout, structural, or design changes
- New features or functionality
- Custom development or coding
- Plugin or theme installation (beyond standard updates to plugins/themes already on the site)
- Content creation (copywriting, photography, graphic design)
- SEO services or strategy
- Migration to or from third-party platforms
- Recovery work resulting from third-party access or interference with the site
If you’re unsure whether a request falls inside or outside the plan, just ask – we’ll let you know before any work is started.
4. Submitting Change Requests
All change requests should be submitted in writing (email or our project management tool) so we have a clear record of what’s been requested and actioned. Verbal requests are not guaranteed to be picked up unless followed up in writing.
5. Turnaround
Minor change requests are typically actioned within 2 working days of receipt. Urgent requests can be prioritised where possible – please flag urgency clearly when submitting. Same-day turnaround cannot be guaranteed.
6. Backups & Security
We perform monthly off-site backups of your site files and database, retained for 1 month. While we take reasonable precautions to keep your site secure and up to date, we cannot guarantee against all forms of compromise, downtime, or data loss, particularly where caused by third parties or factors outside our control.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel the Hosting Plan at any time with no minimum term. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and is not pro-rated.
On cancellation:
- Your site will be removed from our servers at the end of the billing period.
- Your site will go offline unless you have arranged alternative hosting in advance.
- On request, we will provide a full backup of your site (files and database) free of charge, for you to migrate to a host of your choice.
- It is your responsibility to arrange alternative hosting and to maintain the site from that point onwards.
We recommend giving as much notice as possible to allow time for a smooth handover and migration.
8. Non-Payment
If a payment fails or is not received within 7 days of the due date, we reserve the right to suspend hosting services until the account is brought up to date. Continued non-payment may result in the site being taken offline and the account being terminated.
9. Liability
The Social Bay Ltd are not liable for any losses or expenses incurred as part of the hosting plan. Maximum liability is capped at one month’s payment.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Existing customers will be notified of any material changes with reasonable notice.
